July 12, 1927. The CPC Central Committee restructured with Chen Duxiu suspended from his duties under the directions by the Communist International. A temporary standing committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee composed of Zhou Enlai, Li Lisan, Li Weihan, Zhang Tailei and Zhang Guotao presided over the work of the Central Committee.
